We have stopped charging patients. Searching UK medicine shortages is free, tracking your own medicines is free, and the email alerts are free โ no card, no trial, no subscription. We will only email you when one of your medicines actually changes status, which most weeks means not at all.

Nothing. Searching any medicine's current shortage status is free with no account, and a free account lets you track up to 5 of your own medicines and get email alerts when their status changes. We are not selling a patient subscription.
Rarely โ and that is the point. We only email you when one of your tracked medicines actually changes status: it enters a shortage, its severity changes, or it comes back in stock. UK supply status changes slowly, so most weeks you will hear nothing from us. Silence means your medicines are fine.
No. We ask for an email address so we can send your alerts, and nothing else. There is no card form, no trial and no renewal date.
Your subscription is unaffected and keeps working exactly as it did, including your higher tracking limits. You can review or cancel it any time from the billing section of My Alerts. If you would rather we sorted it for you, email hello@mediwatch.co.uk.
Yes. A free account tracks up to 5 medicines in total, and they do not all have to be yours โ carers commonly track a mix for the household.
Because a shortage alert should reach the patient who needs it, not just the patient who paid. MediWatch is funded by our work with pharmacies and healthcare organisations, so the patient-facing service does not have to charge.
